Why are the package sizes of anything in a vending machine getting smaller and smaller but higher in price?

FOR EXAMPLE: Back in the day (LIKE BARELY A YEAR AGO) you could hook up a 2oz. Reeces pieces for 50 cents. Nowadays I get a 1.53 oz package for 70 cents.

    Because the companies running the vending machine outfits know that people will still buy the crap they put in there no matter what!

    Well partially it’s inflation. It takes more money to produce, and ship the product. Making smaller sizes save money and increases the bottom line. Also various health groups are encouraging the smaller sizes to combat the growing American waist line. (Many schools and such are requesting smaller portions.)
